Edusa1The Office for Educational Advising strives to provide accurate, comprehensive, current, and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States.

We do not endorse or rank any college or university, nor do we endorse services provided by any company or organization in the areas of test preparation, admissions, placement, language training, or visa procurement.

The Office also offers:

  • Orientation sessions about the exams by the Educational Adviser
  • Reference books about topics related to studies in the U.S
  • Official information and materials to prepare for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT
  • Sample exams

The Educational Adviser offers to the public personalized help in the selection of US universities in order to study a bachelor degree, a master degree, PhD studies, especial programs for teachers and counselors, English intensive programs and exchange opportunities, as well as help in the admission process, pre-departure and financial aid orientation.
The Adviser works in several ways:

    • EducationUSA free informative sessions each month covering study opportunities in the US at all levels of higher education at CCNN (see calendar in the mission tab).
    • Free informative sessions or presentations on specific topics such as Graduate studies, Undergraduate studies, Financial aid, etc. The sessions can be requested to the Adviser and hosted by local schools/universities in Managua.
    • One-on-one advising sessions to help with detailed university application process, registration for standard exams, pre-departure information, etc. An appointment is required.

Financial aid to study in the United States might come from different sources, being family funds and university aid the most common. The Advising Center offers tips, books, and electronic information about financial aid for studying in the United States only. For other countries visit the respective embassies in Nicaragua.   • Free sessions about financial aid by the Educational Adviser
  • Information about scholarships opportunities
  • Books about international foundations and organizations offering financial aid, fellowships, scholarships, and student loans
