Award
An excellence award was granted to CCNN as a result of an evaluation to the communicative English programs. This evaluation was carried out by Jodi Crandall and Bill Carrrol whose credentials are these:
Mrs JoAnn Crandall, holds a PhD in education. She has been a professor and diretor of the program of Master in TESOL She has also been the director of the PhD program in languages, literature and culture of the University of Maryland in Baltimore county. She has also been a cosultant to countless academic programs from different binational centers, universities and non-for-profit organizations.
Mr. William Carroll, holds a master in English teaching from the University of Southern Illinois and a PhD in applied linguistics from the English program for foreign students from Georgetown University. Also, He is a lecturer to the Fullbright program He was in charge of the training program for the English teachers at Universidad de San Carlos, Guatemala, among many other experiences around the world.
Class supervision, interviews among teachers and students, and program reviews led to the conclusion that the teaching standards at CCNN comply with international standards.
It was because of this fact that the United States Embassy in the hands of its Ambassador in Nicaragua, Mr. Paul Trivelli, that extended an Excellence Award 2007 to Centro Cultural Nicaraguense Norteamericano. |
