Emily Dickenson library
The Emily Dickinson Library was named after the American poet, Emily Elizabeth Dickinson. Her passionate poetry has placed her among the most important poets in US history, along with Poe, Emerson and Whitman.
Dickinson spent a great part of her life as a recluse inside her bedroom in her father's home in Amherst. Except for five poems (two published without her knowing), her prodigious works were published after her death. CCNN decided to honor her by naming out library after this great artist.
The Emily Diskinson Library offers basic and complimentary materials for learning the English language to our students and the general public. We also aid students to find the right materials to improve their skills and help them to enjoy reading.
One of the most important services that this library provides is the promotion and development of cultural programs where students interact and practice their English language skills. Part of these cultural activities are based in story readings, the celebration of US National Holidays, contests and more. These activities are in constant innovation to strengthen bonds between American and Nicaraguan cultures in CCNN.
